What if we work with presence, instead of pressure?

Last year I had the honour to visit Osho’s meditation resort in Puna, India. While I am a strong believer of the idea that wisdom comes from within, and is not to be found anywhere outside of you (also not India), this trip díd sharpen my vision on work.

Many of us still work with pressure - we push and effort our way through, even if your gut is telling you it doesn’t feel right. What if we trade this for presence? Attention to what we do…

“Whatever you are doing, do it as if this is the greatest thing in the world at this juncture of time. It may be just cutting the grass, watering the road; it may be anything. Washing the floor, do it as if the whole existence depends on what you are doing, it is indispensable; without it, the whole universe will collapse.” ~ Osho, From the False to the Truth

… and if that means the task falls away because with presence you found out it didn’t work out the way you wanted it - trust it, like nature trusts itself when the leaves fall off the tree.
